Who we are
Dhungkar Tour is a tour operator in Bhutan, run by a small Bhutanese team. We plan cultural tours, treks and festival journeys across the country, from the western valleys to the far east. Every journey can be booked as it is, or customized around your dates and interests.
What “Dhungkar” means
Dhungkar is the white conch shell, one of the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism. Its sound is said to carry the Buddha’s teachings far and wide, and white conches are still blown in Bhutan’s temples and dzongs to call monks to prayer.
How we plan your journey
We keep things clear and personal. One price per night covers what you need in Bhutan, a member of our team plans your itinerary with you, and a licensed Bhutanese guide travels with you throughout.
